Story of the Demon Slayer
Koyoharu Gotouge is the creator of the comic series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Tanjiro Kamado, a fresh, kind-hearted community child, is the protagonist of the tale. He discovers a fiend has killed his family when he gets back one day.
The sole survivors of the strike are Tanjiro and his girlfriend Nezuko, who changes into a demon. Tanjiro vows to become a monster slayer himself and starts his quest to change Nezuko again into he and exact revenge on his family after running into the same person who killed him and vehemently defended his sister.
One of the best-selling comic series of all time, the comic was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020. It should come as no surprise that the animation translation is equally popular given the over 150 million copies sold.
